Asano Stamped Mikawa Shiro Nagura Koma. The rare and highly sought after Koma layer stones are becoming highly scarce with many counterfeit stones circulating. Rest assured that these Koma Nagura stones were sourced directly. Koma stones are known as being the most fine and fast cutting layer of Mikawa nagura. In a standard honing progression, Koma stones are used last for maximum refinement before moving to a finishing Tomo Nagura. Koma stones are also highly prized for sword and blade polishing, and most larger pieces are reserved for that purpose. Koma Nagura stones can be used as slurry stones for all blades and will add abrasive power to a fine finishing stone, allowing for added depth of polish and a toothy edge.
